MOT CENTRE MANAGER AWARD

The new Level 3 Award in MOT Test Centre Management has been developed in collaboration with the DVSA to give learners the knowledge and skills required to manage MOT Vehicle Test Centres. This qualification will teach you how to: Develop the legislative and compliance knowledge required to manage an MOT Test Centre Effectively encourage improvements in customer service Develop and supervise staff within a Testing Centre Understand the Centre quality systems and audits

Description

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This qualification is primarily developed for learners who wish to run an MOT Vehicle Test Station (VTS), or who will have direct responsibility for MOT operations at the VTS in the future.

The course is run over 2 days face to face teaching at S&B Automotive Academy and learners will also be required to complete an online study module.

The content of this qualification has been designed to reflect the contents of the National Occupational Standards for MOT Managers and will cover the following:

• Supporting acts and regulations
• Retests and fees
• Classes of vehicle subject to the MOT test
• The MOT test content

• Testing by appointment and/or demand
• Documentation
• Damage/third party liability

• Use of testing assistants

Eligibility

This qualification will be of interest to those individuals wishing to set up an MOT testing Station or who may already be an MOT Tester and wish to advance their career further.

MOT CLASS 4&7 ANNUAL CPD - ONLINE TRAINING AND TEST

This is a self study online course and assessment to cover the required criteria that all testers must complete and pass an annual assessment between the start of April and the following March each year. To maintain your testing status for the vehicle classes you test, you will be responsible for: Planning and completing your annual training Recording annual training Passing the annual assessment.
